Military force cannot resolve tension over North Korea, China said on Thursday, while an influential Chinese newspaper urged the North to halt its nuclear programme in exchange for Chinese protection. Concerns have been growing that North Korea could soon conduct a sixth nuclear test or more missile launches in defiance of UN sanctions and stark warnings from the United States that a policy of patience was over. Myanmar must admit Rohingya Muslim to depart camps said Annan Commission

Myanmar should close bleak camps where tens of thousands of displaced Rohingya Muslims have been trapped for nearly five years, a commission led by former UN chief Kofi Annan said Thursday. More than 120,000 Rohingya have languished in camps since they were driven from their homes by sectarian unrest between Buddhists and Muslims that engulfed western Rakhine State in 2012. Most are not allowed to leave the squalid displacement camps where they live in piecemeal shelters with little access to food, and denied access to basic education and healthcare. Myanmar's de facto leader Aung San Suu Kyi last year appointed Annan to head a commission tasked with healing long-simmering divisions between Buddhists and Muslims in Rakhine. Large number of teachers and students of Delhi University, Jawaharlal Nehru and Jamia Milia Islamia today joined together with a call to SAVE universities from the fierce attack and onslaught of Akhil Bharatiya Vidya Parishad(ABVP). Earlier, the ABVP had carried out " Tirangana March" from Ramjas College to the Faculty of Arts.The students alongside teachers held placards and posters with messages" Your nationalism is not above our democracy". Protesters mainly comprising students of left forums like All India Students Association( AISA) shouted slogans which read as " ABVP Go Back" and Azaadi" as it march through North Campus towards Arts Faculty. There was a heavy police deployment to prevent the possible break out of clashes between ABVP and AISA.
